Here’s another good news data recovery story! This USB drive was posted to us for repair. It was in a very bad state and required quite a bit of soldering but after a while we were able to recover the entire contents of the drive (over 3.5Gb!) and deliver to the client all within 24 hours of them posting it to us!

The bent USB plug shows clearly that’s something’s not quite right here.
Out of the casing, the damage is even more apparent!
After first repair attempt the device is visible but not recognised.
“USB Device Not Recognized – One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message.”
Looks like more soldering is required.
